Strava No Longer Available :(
Howdy- This is Pat Hitchins, Founder and CEO of FitRankings writing from Austin TX. I am reporting that beginning on December 1st FitRankings will no longer be able to connect to Strava, a connection that we have had since 2015. As a runner and cyclist myself, I have been a longtime user of Strava. It is unfortunate that they have decided to end our connection.
At FitRankings it is our mission to help you connect your fitness data to the organizations, causes, and brands that you care about. Despite this bump in the road, FitRankings will continue undeterred in our mission and we will continue to add new connection partners in the coming months (Coros, Wahoo, Samsung Health, etc.). If you are looking for additional options to connect, here are some suggestions below. Also, if you need any support during this transition, please reach out to our dedicated support team (real humans in Austin!) who will help you.
Wearables Direct Connection to FitRankings- FitRankings connects to Garmin, Suunto, Polar, Apple Watch/Apple Health, Coros, etc. If you were previously connection these to Strava and then connecting to FitRankings, just connect directly.
Free Mobile App Connections to FitRankings - FitRankings connects to other free fitness apps. Check them out if you haven't already.
- Apple Health - Apple Health continues to increase it's functionality and provides a great overview of general activity throughout the day (distance, workouts, calories burned, etc.). Apple Health also provides a good central hub for all of your fitness + health activity from multiple sources. Strava could be connected to your Apple Health and FitRankings could pull that data.
- MapMyFitness- FitRankings connects with MapMyFitness and the associated suite of apps (MapMyRun, MapMyRide, etc.). MMF is an excellent all around app that has the widest range of activities to track from.
- RunKeeper- A great app with nice design. Great functionality for runners, and solid for other fitness endeavors.
